On September 9, the Maxwell Park Neighborhood Council hosted a general meeting, open to the public. Our featured speaker was Oakland’s new Chief of Police, James Beere. Chief Beere recently stated that he “embraces meaningful civilian oversight and constitutional policing; values collaboration with neighborhoods, businesses, and faith leaders; and is fully prepared to lead on day one.

It was a fun Day in the Park on Saturday, September 12 in Maxwell Park! Thanks to all the neighbors who participated, volunteered, and organized the event. Celebrate Halloween on Camden Street
Halloween on Camden returns on Saturday, 10/31! The family-friendly event is block-party style on the 5000-5200 block of Camden Street.
