Safer Blocks: Information Session

Meeting Materials

Meeting Questions

Does each block have their own Neighborhood Watch or just captains on each block that all belong to Maxwell Park to Neighborhood Watch?

Each group is an independent neighobrhood watch. You can combine blocks into a single group.

Do we organize block by block or do we go wider?

Traditionally block by block, but it can be flexible depending on the needs of the community. Recommendation is no more than 30-35.

How do you define a block?

The city offers this advice.

Are the block captain manuals available yet?

The city is still working on the manuals. We hope they will be out soon.

I live on Rawson and we have no neighborhood watch. I am not clear on how to start. Talking to people?

If you are looking for ideas to get your neighbors on board, you can do the following:

Who can we contact to have a Neighborhood Watch sign installed?
